Looks like I’m gonna do some marketing for ur sunglasses Jose! When u said to place your JadeBlack sunglasses next to Ray-Ban and that they’re better quality etc. and I’m gonna say YES YOU’RE PROBABLY RIGHT JOSE AND I BELIEVE YOU BECAUSE RAY-BAN QUALITY IS RUBBISH..
In fact what I found out about the industry of sunglasses is VERY SHOCKING, from a very well known youtuber in my world, his info is well-documented and trustworthy and here’s a summary of what he says…. if ya want the short story, the market is owned and controlled by ONE company called LUXOTTICA, YES 1 entity monopolizing the entire market which allows them to sell you Ray-Ban, Oakley, Oliver Peoples and the majority of known brands for hundreds of dollars while it cost them only USD 5-30 in cost… this is not some conspiracy theory the info is from well trusted sources, u interested to learn more, read further..
Quick note, in 2019 the glasses’ market reached 132 billion dollars and expected to reach 177B by 2023, however, LUXOTTICA was found in 1961 in Italy by a businessman called Leonardo Del Vecchio, it built its first factory in 1967… it made a strong leaps in 1974 when it bought a large distributing company and in 1988 when it signed an agreement with the well-known Giorgio Armani…
Things took diff turn in 1999 when Ray-Ban was losing big, note that back then the Ray-Ban sunglass was sold for only USD 20! LUXOTTICA bought Ray-Ban and completely STOPPED the production for 1 year! note that at that time and still to this date people watch celebrities in movies wearing Ray-Ban sunglasses and wanna buy them but for a year LUXOTTICA made the consumer so hungry, and after a year the very same Ray-Ban sunglasses came back to the market but sold for USD 150! 7 times more expensive in just a year and still people bought em!
The greed of LUXOTTICA is didn't stop there, they kept on signing deals with clothing companies and buying both sunglasses companies as well as distribution companies, for instance it bought LENSE CRAFTERS which is the largest distributor in USA and Canada and it could therefore rise the prices to USD 300! And it kept of playing its dirty game of buying more companies such as SUNGLASS HUT, OLIVER PEOPLES, PEARLOOVISION and many others and the more it bought the higher prices went!
Oakley resisted this and it was a decent company that didn’t want huge profit margin, LUXOTTICA threatened Oakley if they don’t increase their prices then NONE of their distributors (all belongs to LUXOTTICA) would sell their Oakley glasses, Oakley strongly rejected and u know the end of the story! Oakley since no one wanna sell their glasses took a huge dip and LUXOTTICA bought it too and made a corporate consolidation and as always INCREASED the Oakley’s prices!
So yes I would support Jose’s sunglasses! And screw this greedy monster that gives low quality glasses for big bucks.. JadeBlack price of $40-50 the price sounds just right and yes I’d trust its quality more than Ray-Ban, but more importantly, I donna wanna support such greedy monster called LUXOTTICA hiding behind diff names while it's monopolizing the market for itself and producing a glass for less than $30 and selling it to us for $200 - $500 i'm done with this nonsense
Those burgundy or magenta chinos look kind of Femenine, thanks for the video. In California due to the high population of hipsters now goodwill sell their merchandise like new, never seen those prices here.maybe all the garbage is regular price which is not cheap either but brands like those shown on the video are overpriced, I just saw in the news that goodwill is going to partner with offer up , so good luck finding good items there.
I will say, at most thrift stores you can’t find anything REMOTELY close to Hugo boss. Most of the items are generally super old fashion but you can definitely find some steals, just have to be patient. I got 6 shirts and a pair of shorts for under $15 dollars today! All that to say, great video!
Just out of curiosity, how much would the tailoring cost though. That is the one thing you did not address,
I would have done the same thing too If I had my own tailor or have some sort of tailoring skills.
Bro thanks for doing a video about thrifting. I'm a thriftblogger and you were one the first dudes I subscribed to when I started thrifting. Thanks for the inspo homie. Checkout my Thrift IG page: @thatthriftguy
The internet is a sea of valuable information of all accumulated human knowledge where we can delve into any subject known to man and learn every single detail about it without leaving our bedrooms. If used properly, we can all become nuclear physicists and create a Utopia of quantum power where the monetary system becomes void because we do have all the knowledge and technology as humans to satisfy all our human needs while preserving the planet’s natural resources and without any wars. It’s all there at our fingertips. But you’re idiots. We are all idiots.
As hip-hop remains a staple in our society, we continue to appreciate the artists behind this broad genre of music. While Biggie and Tupac represent the best of hip-hop excellence from both coasts, we also remember these two as humans beings, just like the rest of us. With that comes personality, charm, and, of course, a good sense-of-humor.
Today, with the ever-changing nuances of technology and the Internet, rappers can express themselves and their senses of humor in ways far beyond that their music. Whether it’s a GIF, a tweet, a meme, a Snapchat — there’s never a bad time to insert comedy into any given situation. When it comes to music videos, Lil Dicky sets the bar high with “$ave Dat Money,” which clocks in at over 84 million views and counting. Aside from his undeniable talent behind the mic, LD effortlessly reveals a career in comedy is at his fingertips.
