About the video:
You fear looking like mutton dressed like lamb, but you don’t want to look frumpy, but what is the in between?
Iris Apfel is my idol, but not everyone is as bold as she is.
1.Build your basic wardrobe with classics that fit well and and give you shape. That being said, classic doesn’t have to mean boring in style or colour.
2.Choose the trends that suit your personal style. Then add elements of these trends to your classic wardrobe. You can also do this with accessories.
3. Avoid wearing too much black, especially close to your face. As you get older, you loose colour in your skin and hair. Wearing colour, especially close to your face can highlight your complexion and make you look younger. If you wear black, add a colourful accessory to off-set the black and bring colour to your face.

I don't specifically have a video that deals with short and big legs, but if you would like personalised tips, you may want to consider on online one-on-one session with me. Hi there, it comes from my designer collection. I do repeat this style in various fabrics. Feel free to email me directly to discuss it further. [email protected] You can also take a look at my online store, but this style isn't on there right now. https://www.tracygoldfashiontips.com/shop/
Linda Newton-Perry thanks for your comment. If you feel more comfortable in black, then try wearing a pop of color, that suits your complexion, close to your face and see what it does. I hope this helps.❤️
Thanks so much Tracy. If you are new to my channel, you may enjoy this playlist https://goo.gl/dWF6tr. You can see how I curl my hair in this video https://youtu.be/pe0FHl3XB9A. I'm working on an online clothing store as most of the clothing I wear is from my own collection (including my shirt). Thanks for your question. I think that as long as they suit your body shape and your personal style, then wear them. There are no rules anymore. Really good Traci! Love how you show pics of women of style. Could you show or incorporate petite women in your videos. Here in the States petite fashion stores or department stores try to dress us in Peter Pan collars or matronly or frumpy. Maybe you could give us suggestions on that??
would love to see more women in their 50s and 60s wearing latex ..Just doesn't happen here in the USA..Women in Europe dress so sexy..But in Clearwater beach Fl. I NEVER see any beautiful Women in their 50s and 60s in high heels or in Latex? kind of stinks....
I agree with you, it depends on how you can carry off a certain look and your body type - I by no means dress dowdy - I am in my 70s I love stylish clothes and wear high heels - When I mentioned mutton dress as lamb I was thinking of spandex/latex, clothes that are too tight and styles designed for juniors - I have seen older women wearing styles that looked good when they were in their 20s and 30s but age them at 60 - Sometimes we get caught in a time warp - You have great taste and I look forward to your next video
Agreed Carol. The European women are very stylish. And yes, mutton dressed as lamb can make you look older, but sometimes when women are afraid of looking like mutton dressed as lamb, they go to the other extreme. I think a lot depends on how you carry it off. I'll be uploading a video soon on mature fashion icons I follow. Keep a look out for it for some inspiration.
When I was in Europe the well-dressed women were not trendy, but classy and dressed with conservative style - And, as far as latex is concerned, I think that is something Dave would like but not necessary 60-year-old women - I love high heels and I am in my 70's - But we must be realistic because there is nothing worse than "mutton dressed for lamb ".
Thanks Dave for your comment. I actually find that the European women in their 50s and 60s dress modestly, but with such style. I say if a woman can walk confidently in high heels and love wearing them... she should wear them no matter her age.
Great video, but all these women were thin and beautiful - I would love to see older women in your videos who are a size 14 or 16 - The same looks and styles would work, but I think more women could relate and feel confident if they see the clothes on women who look more like them -
I checked it out and thought it was excellent - The models offered a good representation of different body types - You missed one important style jean - Gloria Vanderbilt makes a tapered leg jean which is not skinny and not straight or wide - They fit me very well because my thighs are not small, but I have long legs and do not want a wide look - They skim and do not cling at all - They also have a higher rise which helps with any midriff bulge - Great videos
carol alter and Jeanni Brosius. Check out my latest video on how to buy your perfect pair of jeans. I have used pics with various sizes and ages. Let me know what you think. https://youtu.be/53M92ZeZOJg
That's funny you mentioned a stylist I kid you not I am watching how to cut a home made bob for my old wigs! lol I am no where near a stylist? are you a fashion stylist or a beautician stylist? I live in Northern California. Sacramento.... And since I been laid off work I been channeling into fashion more because once upon a time I wanted to be a fashion designer which went out the window. Now that my children are all grown up I want to focus on guitar, maybe dabble into interior design or freakin something! Not being lost because most my life been on kids.... I finally got me to myself. most times! so no I ain't old no ma'am! lol!
The internet is a sea of valuable information of all accumulated human knowledge where we can delve into any subject known to man and learn every single detail about it without leaving our bedrooms. If used properly, we can all become nuclear physicists and create a Utopia of quantum power where the monetary system becomes void because we do have all the knowledge and technology as humans to satisfy all our human needs while preserving the planet’s natural resources and without any wars. It’s all there at our fingertips. But you’re idiots. We are all idiots.
As hip-hop remains a staple in our society, we continue to appreciate the artists behind this broad genre of music. While Biggie and Tupac represent the best of hip-hop excellence from both coasts, we also remember these two as humans beings, just like the rest of us. With that comes personality, charm, and, of course, a good sense-of-humor.
Today, with the ever-changing nuances of technology and the Internet, rappers can express themselves and their senses of humor in ways far beyond that their music. Whether it’s a GIF, a tweet, a meme, a Snapchat — there’s never a bad time to insert comedy into any given situation. When it comes to music videos, Lil Dicky sets the bar high with “$ave Dat Money,” which clocks in at over 84 million views and counting. Aside from his undeniable talent behind the mic, LD effortlessly reveals a career in comedy is at his fingertips.
