+Bob Kelly Wow. I saw a guy pull up to the lake with his plugs off and right when he was about to get on, I told him. It happens
Bob Kelly (2 months ago)
Yep, and it filled up with water. Just like he discusses in the video. I did exactly what he said, and it works perfectly again. I've ran it 10 times since then. Thanks again!

This video is awesome! Flipped my buddies Kawasaki Ultra 300x. The seat flipped off and took on water too fast for me to flip it back. The whole thing would have sunk if it wasn't for the bubble in the nose. We drained all the water out, changed oil, checked spark plugs. Let it sit for a day with a fan on it. The next day it wouldn't turn over then realized sensor in the motor will not allow to turn over engine if water is in the engine. We were going to take it in and have the shop take apart of the engine! =o During all this I lost my phone for about a day. Found it then found this video. Immediately went out cleaned out the spark plugs with some acetone and rag. Cranked the ignition without plugs and man oh man. It was crazy how much water was in the engine. It was like a geyser...lol. Did this for an hour or 2 raising and lowering the ski on the trailer to make sure and get it all. Let it sit for another 2 hours or so with fan on engine. Then we cranked it up for about 2 seconds. Trailered it out to the water and it was rough for about 15 mins. It would stall and studder. Eventually though as I got the rpms up it started to run better and better. Then boom good as new! Saved Memorial Weekend 2018! Thanks! Man I love this video!

So I removed the spark plugs, (next day bought new ones) flushed out the water from the pistons by turning the engine on, only during 15 seconds at a time not to damage the starter. Put some WD40 and used compressed air to get rid of any unwanted water remaining in the shaft. Filled up the piston holes with mix fuel and put in the new spark plugs, plugged her up and hit the ignition, 1, 2, 3 she started up and had her running.. Stopped the engine and started her up again on 1st try.. Hope this helps you out. Seadoo 2005 sportster.. (fresh water) sunk..

It's so funny to me because there's I'm watching this video I'm getting annoyed by the guy who's filming it breathing so damn hard.. sounds like Darth Vader. So then I read the comments and almost every single comment is people talking about how the camera guy is breathing LOL
davehill (1 year ago)
Great video but that asthmatic motherf***e holding the camera made it unbearable!
The DIY King Wolf (1 year ago)
Will a jetski fully sink? I have a 1994 seadoo xp.. My worst fear is it sinking.
Mainland Cycle Center (1 year ago)
I don't think it will fully sink. They will sit very low in the water and fill the engine with water. I have never heard of one going to the bottom though. At least not a sit down style ski anyway. Thanks for watching.

Hey, I'd like to say that your video really helped me get my 96 Yamaha running again after a couple of knuckle heads flipped it then tried to run it. One thing that I did that helped me as well was to take off the carburetors intake cover and shut off the choke to give as much air going in as possible. I also used some SeaFoam right in the cylinders. Thanks again for you helpful video.

A friend of mine who has a lot more money than me is interested in buying an Ultimate Driving Machine. Since he knows little about cars (other than he knows what he likes), he asked me to do some research for him on a BMW website. While there, I came across a forum discussion on the choice and installation of spark plugs. One member insisted that anti-seize should never be applied to spark plug threads and as evidence quoted the following information taken from Autolite and AC/Delco: Autolite We do not recommend the use of any anti seize products for installing spark plugs. Anti-seize compounds are typically composed of metallic, electrically conductive ingredients. If anti seize compounds come in contact with the core nose of the plugs, it can lead to a misfire condition. Anti seize compounds can also have a torque multiplying effect when installing plugs. This can lead to thread distortion and thread galling resulting in cylinder head damage. Autolite spark plugs are nickel plated to resist the effects of corrosion and seizing. However, plug seizure is aggravated further when steel plugs are installed into aluminum cylinder heads for a long period of time.

dude seriously tell whoever is breathing so loud that you are trying to make a video... all i can hear is the crepper hiding in the bushes thats getting aroused by you guys talking jet skis lol
mman454 (1 year ago)
Very informative video. Only way you could make it better would be having someone other than Darth Vader film, it's rather distracting.
